Campsite-Restaurant  A'Vouga

Enjoy a unique environment

Muros Township means quality tourism, with unique natural landscapes in Galicia. Declared historical heritage in 1970, it was founded by King Sancho IV the Brave in the 13th century. Its medieval grid is preserved almost intact. A Vouga, located at 3Km from the town centre, is a stop you cannot miss to enjoy the wonderful coast.

Monte Louro

Placing ourselves in the area of Louro, on the northern shore of the Muros and Noia estuary, we found this granite hill of 241 meters high. In Monte Louro you will be able to walk along different hiking trails, climbing various heights to enjoy the views on both sides of the stone giant. The lighthouse, built in 1861, is a must. The lighthouse and the first height can be reached by car.

"As Xarfas" lagoon

At the foothills of Monte Louro, you will find As Xarfas lagoon, declared a protected area of natural interest with great biological diversity. The lagoon shelters a variety of flora and fauna, among which we highlight species like the Grey Heron, the Little Grebe or Ocellated Lizard. Over the years, sand dunes have been formed limiting the Longarelo River and separating the lagoon from the sea.

Muros

City Council with seven areas: Abelleira, Esteiro, Louro, Muros, Serres, Tal and Torea. The port of Muros is the most important part of its fishing district and was the basis upon which the growth of the town was established. In its fish market you can buy the catches made by this port and by the ports of Lira and O Pindo.
